How is that even possible? His trainer says that it is hard to tell exactly how many hours he is training because they are taking a lot of breaks during the day, but that he was training 26-27 hours a week last year. He is only 22 years old!

Interesting no one knows who this cat is without having to Google him... what the f*ck does he do? From his pic he looks like a damn rich white kid.

Your spelling is awful.
No wonder no one knows him, he's slower than Ashton Eaton over 400m.
I didn't realize he started off more of a decathlete, and a really good one! Seems if he wanted to, he could transition from a world class 400 hurdler, or 400 runner, back to a decathlete and likely be one of the top 3 in the world. What an amazing athlete!
30 hours is a lot, but we can probably come up with something thay adds up to 30 hours because he is probably taking long rests between reps, has a really long warmup, and they're probably including things like massage, e-stim, cool down stretching, ice/heat, etc. Plus he is probably doing weights.
A 400m workout might be something like:
300m, 8 minutes rest, 250, 8 minutes rest, 200, 8 minutes rest, 150, 8 minutes rest, 150, 8 minutes rest, 150, 8 minutes rest, 150, 8 minutes rest, 150.
That workout would have almost an hour of rest. Throw in a 2 hour warmup routine, something full of drills, hurdles walks, light plyos, and lots of rest and you're at 3 hours. Cool down routine for an hour to make it 4. Trainer for an hour to make it 5. An hour in the weight room to make it 6.
6 days a week like that and you'rr at 36 hours a week.

Quite the athletics fan, aren't you?
30hrs seems a lot until you take not that elite sprint athletes usually spend 1hr warming up, 1hr cooling down, and most of the workout recovering/resting from intervals.
Say he does this workout: 4x300m Hurdle + 6x150m Flat + easy tempo on grass + core.
Between those 300s he's going to take 8-10 min rest, for the 150s probably 2-3min, and the tempo is 20-30 minutes of easy running, maybe progressive, on the grass. The core could take anywhere from 30 minutes to over 1hr with lots of breaks. Add the massive 1he warm up and it is easy to see how he can train 4-5hrs a day.
Sprint training always seems like a lot but over half a track workout is spent resting.

Interesting so many of you don't. He's a world champion, and gave a funny post-race press conference in a Viking helmet - what more could you want?
