You hardly ever see people wearing short split shorts (1"/2"). These are what I usually train in. Is this commonplace in ultra running to not use split shorts and if so why not?
I've heard some good things about North Face's Better than Naked line but I don't really know what you're looking for when it comes to ultra shorts that your regular shorts wouldn't provide.
I think I'm going to just go with the "whatever is most comfortable and works" solution and just do my regular shorts but wasn't sure what the consensus was.
