Didn't actually make sense for him to stay at Oregon. He was the ITU Jr. World Champion, and when he did switch completely to the Triathlon, he was actually winning World Cup races.

Most of us are runners so we will always be biased in that direction. To a runner, triathloning seems like doing the 400 hurdles or the steeple. It feels like the second best runners move to those events to win. It may not be true for the triathlon but I am a runner so everyone else should be.
He also should’ve stayed away from cheat day as it looks like he’s packing an extra 40 pounds now.

Was confused by this and checked his social media. Apparently he has gone the Ryan Hall route.
