Will he break 1:42 again?
Will he break 1:42 again?
If we can get him back on the supplement regimen I had him on, he can still do it at age 29. Yes, that's his real age.

Coach Aden what is your training like?

"1:44.65?" Sad...this is a 1:41.73 guy, which is tied for 9th fastest all-time! I think he's a shadow of his former self - too many injuries took it's toll.
It's f*cking April at a college meet and his season opener. Relax.

Drew was more impressive running 3:39 and doubling back for a sub-1:50 800.

Unless you're African or from some other choice third world locales it would be a waste of time to explain our methods to you since you would be required to undergo year round drug testing unlike my athletes.

Why do I need to f*cking relax? ? I don't have a dog in this fight - I'm pointing out some facts that you're obviously not aware of.
Almost 3 secs off his PB? You realize he's tied with Coe & Kipketer as the *9th* all-time fastest? He had a bad 2013 season with injuries but rebounded back a little in 2014 & 15. But what has he done since then other than get slower? A shadow of his former self and a one & done Olympic/WC medalist.

Even more impressive is that he’s coming off an injury. To run within 3 seconds of his 1500 PR and a second of his 800 PR, the day after a 15, as his opener, after injury is impressive.

In real life, Aden has been forbidden from entering Ethiopia and is based in Spain.

Yes, he was arrested in Spain and a lot of behind the scenes $$$ got him off the hook. There's a lot interest in some circles in keeping Africans out of trouble when it comes to drug use, and the reasons aren't based in sport per se. At the time Aden was arrested the hotel was chock full of Ethiopians and Kenyans and other E. Africans. Aden got locked up and Amos, who isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, went down the tubes performance wise.

Yes it it. Drew hasn't had much speedwork yet either. It's actually quite amazing.
Rudisha has a 1:40.91 PR, if he opens his season with a 1:43 is he done? Before you post anything stupid again, please think before you type.
I think Saruni just time trialed a 1:42.90

Nope. Sub-1:50 and a 3:39 for a pro is still less impressive than a 1:44. Just for a random reference, if Reed Brown ran a 4:00 mile one day (within 3 sec of mile pr) and came back the next day to run a 1:50 800 (pr is 1:51 but a 2:21 1k) would you say that his performance is just as impressive? I hope not. Running within three seconds of a 1500 and then one second in the 800 should be a pretty typical performance for a runner around 20 years old. On the other end, we have a former 1:41 runner putting up a time which is very encouraging given his worse performing last few years. The results would tell me that Amos could have a shot a getting back to pr shape, whereas it would indicate to me that Drew is where he has typically been. There is nothing unexpected about a 3:39 and then a sub 1:50. The 1:44 was more surprising.
Tear me apart.

What has he done, you ask?
How about winning the diamond league last year?
Settle down, armchair-quarterback.
Lol. He was injured over 3 months ago. Not that relevant.
He’s definitely done “speed work”.
