I would guess he finishes somewhere between 5-10.

Another thread that will inevitably develop into yet another anti-Rupp thread This is getting old. But just to piss everyone off...Rupp would have been top 3. Let the flow of venom begin!
He would have won ,

You are the WORST kind of poster. You first mention how you are fed up with anything negative about Galen. Then you state that Rupp would be in the top 3, but you admit you don’t really believe it, as you are stating it “just to piss people off.” This makes you a liar, and a terrible poster.
Top 5. Is he not better than Wanders?

For now. Let's see in a couple years.

And you just fell for the trap...entice anal characters like you to reply.
Top 10, maybe top 5 on a good day.
But a win at the Rome half in near American record time and a top 3 finish in Boston makes for better PR than 7th at the World Half Champs.
Another lame troll attempt.
As if you wouldn't know already:
If Rupp had a good day, he would finish 1st. Bad day, he would finish 2nd. No one in this race that's at his level.
first or second. he was the only one who had the 10k speed to go with the winner. he stayed with the winner in boston until 23 miles, ran away from the other two leaders in chicago, took off late and won olympics trials, and took off in three person pack in rio to get bronze medal.

no one will EVER know. FACT
I think the he would have done well. Probably would've stuck to Kam and hung on to second. But he's running Boston in a few weeks, and if you saw any of the images of the course profile in Rome, you can easily see why he chose that race - it had some very substantial hills. Valencia was pancake flat. If it weren't for the winds, it would've been a flat and fast time trial against the clock for everyone involved. Instead, he ran a course that will more closely simulate Boston.
2-4th. He wasn’t beating Kam.

No. It makes him a 6.3/10 troll. Quite good, because you bit, hook line and sinker. Do you realize, your intense reaction gives the troll a dripping hardon?
But, the troll wasn't ideal because it was sooo predictable (topic: Rupp performance, HM dist). An inventive troll presents a new topic, or tackles an existing subject in a new way. Thus, in spite of your intense reaction, this topical banality warrants a deduction of 3.7 points from max.
Rupp beat Kam in the 10k in 2016. Kam is probably a stronger runner at the half right now. It seems to be a sweet spot for him. Also, Rupp would not be able to hang with a 13 5k kick. He has never had that kind of speed on the track and I wouldn't expect him to have that kind of speed on the roads during marathon prep. He would have certainly finished top 3.

Probably at the finish line.

NOPE. In the DNS lists, same as Hasay. Salazar would have pulled out of Rupp beforehand.

One can't finish on the DNS list.

2nd is believable, but to claim that Galen Rupp could EVER beat Geoffrey Kamworor at the half marathon distance is nothing short of comical.
