do not wear them!
Hey there Wahoo,
Run barefoot for any event other than the steeple where you could pick up splinters.
A sub-9:00 in trainers might make you a Rexing-esque legend here.
Just run in your training shoes. Then use your friend’s javelin as the baton in the 4 x 800.
Is there a Ross store nearby? Have your mom buy and bring you a pair.
yeah, sure they're essentially the same
Might as well full send it with the spikes. Bet you'll even PR
Reminds me of a story Rod Dixon where someone stole his spikes so he wore some 100m sprinter spikes.
Thanks for the advice! I ended up racing barefoot and had a huge PR of 12:34. The only problem is now I have 2nd degree burns on the bottom of my feet.
yeet

Lol
Won't you be disqualified if someone finds out as the spikes will be too long? (Aren't they 15mm?)
I assume this is a joke but if it were true wear your trainers before you wear javeline boots. I have run an 800m in 1:59.67 in trainers and a 24:59 8k. It will mess with you mentally but better then wearing someone else's broken in spikes let alone a javeline boot.
No...
It's not OK. It's not OK to run it in the shoes you lost, either. It's not OK to run 3200 yards or meters. It is not an event. Can you tell me the World Record for it? No, you can't. There is not one. You may not remember Daniel Komen. His best events were 3000m and 2 miles. Went under 8 minutes in the latter - twice. I thought I recalled him getting the records for both events indoors and out. Turns out he didn't have all 4 and one was still there for Mo to pick up. The other 3 haven't been approached in spite of attempts by KB and El G. Komen never participated in a race over the 3200 distance you refer to.
You may be aware of Genzebe Dibaba. World Records at various events 1500m and up. 3000m and 2 miles also very good events for her. Another similarity with Komen is - you guessed it- she has never run the non-event you appear to be interested in. Bummer for those that do it (you) but made up non-standard distances are meaningless as are performances and times recorded during participation in such. Bummer for DK and GD too, as each could have 4 more WRs (3200y and 3200m, indoors and out). As it turns out, you may as well just go train. Tell meet directors requesting you services to organize something meaningful. Then you'll attend their meets!

This is a ridiculous post. You might as well run in snow boots. Training shoes would be a smarter choice.
If you cared about the 3200 you wouldn't throw Javelin.
