Downhill running.
downhills always get me injured
Lunges?
2 ways: lower your cadence or run faster

then you're doing it wrong
Get taller.
Lunges, sprint drills, plyos, dynamic stretching.
Don't overanalyze. Just run more miles. Your stride will get longer as you run more.
Run more.

lol
Instead of lifting weights, you could try just picking them up and putting them down.

agreed. I suggest you lift weights. I assume you are a female given your username. Lisa, lifting will not make you bulk up or unattractive. If anything guys like hot toned arms. take it from me. Lifting does wonders for your speed. I recommend it.
oh plus lisa lifting will make your booty look fine!
Plyos, drills, (slight) downhill sprinting -- do not lean backwards when running downhill-- try to keep your torso perpendicular to the ground.
How can i lengthen my stride without lifting weights?
what makes you think you need to lengthen your stride?
cheers.
i have a short, choppy stride... i run at stupidly high cadences all the time

The first way could possibly be the worst advice of all time.
What is your cadence right now per min at regular pace or race pace?
What kind of "Hill Bounding" are you doing? Personally I never thought much of hill bounding. I always thought quicker hill reps were better than bounding similar to uphill strides. With quicker hill reps you can work on your running form, driving your knees up, driving your arms forward and your elbow back while also working on your push off. These things were lost during bounding for me. When bounding the movements are just too exaggerated for some people to incorporate them into normal running.
Are you doing sprints or strides? I always thought strides between 80-90% max speed to be the best. I could stay relaxed doing them. Sprints were just to much.
Have you thought about doing the skip drills? A-skips, B-Skips, Long skips and a few others. There are also a few different butt kicks that can help. Bounding on the flats can be beneficial too.
There are a few body weight exercises too that would help. Along with strengthening you hips.
One thing for certain. If you want to lengthen your stride. Do it from the drills. When you do it from drills your stride will naturally lengthen as you get stronger and your form improves. Trying to force a longer stride while on your runs will probably lead to a breakdown.

Don't worry about it, and don't change anything. You are fine.
Olga Bondarenko had a super high cadence and she was #1 in the world for awhile.
Shorter people have a higher cadence for a given speed; women have a higher cadence than men.
If you continue trying to change and take longer strides, you'll become inefficient and slow down. Don't do that.
Focus on your speed, your endurance and your training. Run faster over time!
That's the key. Not trying to unnaturally change your mechanics.
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
Red Bull (who sponsors Mondo) calls Mondo the pole vaulting Usain Bolt. Is that a fair comparison?
