Ok so I'm a high school 400/800 runner who wants to focus primarily on the 800 this season for relay reasons. Personal bests below.
800 last spring I ran 2:00.7 in a relay, 2:01.4 this winter also in a relay.
600 best is 1:24.4 from this winter.
Open 400 51.29, 400 relay 50.37 both from last spring.
200 best is 23.6 in a relay this winter.
I struggle with tempo stuff and longer runs in practice compared to the other mid-distance runners. I was hoping to break 2 this winter but it didn't happen. I'm a pretty shitty indoor runner though, I've ran 2 seasons of it and it hasn't really gone well either time so I'm confident that my outdoor times will be a lot stronger.
Anyway, 1:55 is my goal this spring. I need it for my relay and for college stuff. Also for personal validation because I've been putting in a ton of work for this.
Is it realistic?
