This is getting ridiculous. Where are these shoes, and why aren't they being sold?

Do you know the covert gesticulations ?
ebay search nike vaporfly 4%
Colleen Quigley has them all.. they handed her a few personalized pairs at her workout today.
1. Hypebeasts bought them for some unknown reason...
2. Basic economics. Limited supply for a large demand = guaranteed sales when they do release.

You're not going to cry, are you?

Nike is restricting supply on purpose to create buzz among serious runners. They have lots of unreleased stock.
Dude, Download the Nike Running app on your phone. Run a bit. Upload a few workouts. Run on Sundays. That seems to be their big promo day.
I have had numerous possibilities to purchase Vaporflys on the app. I could go on there today and purchase a pair if I wanted. But I don't want.

I’ve done all that, checking in every day. They haven’t done a promo in months.

It's a strategy that works well enough for Nintendo
There's plenty around, even non-runners wear them for some reason

The last one I had was from a month ago. It was a "Color Level Reward" for the "Black" Level. Odd thing is, when it came in, I was 3/4 of the way through black.
2 months ago, they had a blue-ish color pair reserved... I don't know what triggered that.
3 months ago, I ran on a Just do it Sunday and they gave me a Member Unlock for the reddish color pair.
I know I'm not helping, but I'm sharing my experience.

By this fall every company will have an equivalent.
Nike has a good R&D department but is usually done better by the next in line.

I don't think you could go buy a pair today. that reservation wasn't infinite.
They became cool in casual sneaker culture.
For those who've used them for a while, how long have you found them to last?
I've only worn them for races, one 5k and one half marathon. What mileage were on yours before you started noticing performance differences?
I ran a 5K yesterday: the Lucky Charm 5K in Harrisburg. I haven't run fast since last October, so I wasn't expecting a whole lot... just hoping for around 24:00 or better. I wore my Nike Vaporfly 4% (their race debut) and they performed decently, except my right lace came undone probably 1/4 mile into the race. I ran just over a mile debating whether I could finish with it untied, but I ended up stopping and losing probably 25 seconds trying to double-knot. It took me three tries, of course, because I kept pulling the loop out. :( Otherwise, the shoes felt great and performed well. My first mile was a 6:49, my first sub-7 mile split in eight months. I was really suffering by the end, though, and there was a short uphill climb from the river path up to the street that took a lot out of me. I was half out of it and there was a guy at that point that was not doing a very good job of directing people... Instead of just pointing where I should be, he told me, and my race addled brain just did not comprehend and I almost went the wrong way. A couple more turns to the finish, and I got excited when I saw a sub 23 time on the clock. I barely had enough left for a kick, but crossed the line just under 23. Finished with a 22:56 gun time and 22:49 chip time, 12th overall out of 395 and 3rd in my AG.
Good work! It's not often a masters woman ends up so high on the overall!!
I'm not confused. My current reservation said it was good until 3-30-18.
