Hi,
I'm hoping I can get some advice here.
Long story short, years ago I busted my ankle (torn ligaments, probably fractured, not sure). Now sometimes it "dislocates", probably not genuine dislocation, more likely to be a ligament that's out of alignment or something.
The main point is that this "dislocation" happens most often during "dorsiflexion".
Now to my question: due to this problem with my ankle, I want a shoe with certain qualities.
1. A good "ground feel".
2. A low toe and a high heel (when I'm more on my toes, my ankle seems better).
3. I want the toe to be as close to the ground as possible, and to not have a lot of padding (heel padding is fine.)
4. Good arch support, I have high arches.
I don't run anymore, I walk mostly but would like to run again in the future.
I know that's quite a specific list, but I would realllly appreciate some help with this.
P.S. - I recently bought a pair of Brooks Revels but they feel too high, no "ground feel" as I mentioned, and the toe doesn't feel lower than the heel, which I want. So unfortunately that was money wasted
