It is the time of year where my local NPR station does its pledge drive.
First, I am a big fan of NPR programming. While my politics skew more libertarian, I enjoy interviews and the news.
However, I find this whole pledge drive thing to be a bit "holier than thou" also calling the sponsors/advertisers "underwriters" is cute.
Could the NPR station be better off if it hired a sales person to go out and get more underwriters than taking time from its programming asking for donations?
