So I was watching the Los Angeles marathon this morning and the women went out at about 6 minutes pace. About 6 miles in or so there was still a big pack and they noted one American woman runner Brittany charboneau had a 2:51 pr.
She was sticking in with the pack of about 12 until maybe 14 or 15 miles in. I went to check if she finished or if she had a miserable second half. It turns out she did not did.
She finished in 2:36 6th Woman and 2nd American. She has her progress mapped out on her webpage.
Makes you wonder how many women have talent to run well if they tried and applied themselves.
Congrats to her for attaining a huge PR.
