Come on! Can you even consider it Italian cuisine? Italian inspired, maybe? Isn't it all from boxes and cans from Sysco?
You obviously have never had Sbarro if you're asking a stupid question like this
I am a world-reknowned Italian chef Giada de Laurentiis. I am the one who cheated on my hubby with Bobby Flave. I definitely consider the Italian cusuine at the "Garden" as we experts refer to it better than any thing over in Italy.

So you agree with the OP?
Go to Little Italy in NYC and buy literally anything. It will be 10x better than Olive Garden, guaranteed.

Everyone knows the real little Italy in NYC is Arthur Ave.
a chef runs a professional kitchen
a cook cooks food
De Laurantiis hosts a TV show about food
I'm too classy for Olive Garden. When I want Italian food, only Maccaroni Grill for me.

Agree that the few family owned and operated places left in Manhattans 'Little Italy' will be vastly better than The Olive Garden Chain.
Four of the five (5 of 5?) best NYC restaurants that serve food of the Italian or Modern Italian American idiom are on this recently published popularity driven survey.

Knock yourself off dear, you are not that hot at all, very common looks, bland, boring. Ciao!!
I used to think it was one of the better low-end food places but the last few times I've gone I didn't really enjoy my food.

I'm probably in the minority but I like westernized Italian food better. I think it's cause there is way more cheese on everything here.
