So I had an interview at a company that sounds interesting. More of a lateral movement (would probably get a bit more $ I guess)
Anyways, during the tour it was mentioned that their engineering team (mechanical/design/development) all sits in this one cramped room. No office, no cubicle, hell..no quarter-cubicle.
They tried to put a positive spin on this - something like enhancing communication and collaboration. To me, this sounded like "we don't trust or value anyone, and we're also running out of building space"
Anyways, Ive never worked or interviewed anywhere that was utilize this open office policy. Am I just being a b****? The prospect of having to 'look on' for 100% of the day is horrifying to me. As an introvert, I can see having to deal with this as extremely draining.
Anyone have experience with these offices? How much did it suck?
