I am a converted gymnast who started bicylcing (tough word to spell) a year ago. I did not ride much until about 3 months ago when I started riding 3 times a week - typically with rides of 15 miles on Monday, 20 miles on Thursday and a long ride on Saturday of about 30 miles. Sometimes I will pedal really hard just to practice breathing fast because I know I will be very winded during the race. Does it sound like I am on the right track with my training? Does anyone know when the Tour is? I guess I should have already looked into that. I live in a flat city and I think the Tour has some good-sized hills - what can I do to practice riding hills? I have a Schwinn I got from Sears but it seems a bit clunky. What kind of things can I do to the bike so that I may ride to the best of my ability during the Tour? Thanks in advance!
