Chris de Burgh, Lady in Red,
I have no recollection of ever hearing this song in the ateys. I do remember Don't Pay the Ferryman by Chris De Burg.

If your computer was fast enough, you wouldn't have to worry about it!! It was taking over 5 minutes for my home computer on the illustrious time warner/ spectrum to load one page. My tablet takes just a few seconds.

This is a much better song as it includes all of the great singers from then. Best song of the 80's! And such fashion. We have lost our focus

Malmo, Nice plug for Joe Jackson. I still listen to Look Sharp! and I'm the Man frequently these days. But, sorry, I'm going to quibble with your comment the he was "synonymous with the 80s". Come on, he had one hit in 1982 (Steppin Out)! Nobody ever really heard of him, and he changed his musical style so much that I don't think you could argue that he was particularly influential either. As much as I love him, I wouldn't even argue too much if a different thread put him into the "one hit wonder" category. From a name-recognition standpoint, he was no where close to an INXS or a Billy Idol or many of the other singers/groups mentioned in this thread. The two albums I mentioned -- which I think are his best -- were released in the late 70s by the way.

Agree on overkill, but missing are Billy Idol, INXS and Joe Jackson-- synonymous with the 80s.

Speaking of changing styles, Joe Jackson’s Jumpin’ Jive album (1981) is still one of my favorite albums of all time.
