What about Rupp would rojo not love? He's white, male, christian, heterosexual, and American. I guess he may be too thin given rojo's beer gut.

I plugged the information into multiple calculators, interviewed the best minds in the sport of distance running, and ran it through my own complex algorithm. My in depth analysis shows the Huawei Roma Ostia 2018 Half Marathon course to be 6.2 seconds more difficult than the Houston Aramco 2007 half marathon course.
Did you account for plate tectonics and the fluctuations in the Asian markets?
Thinking back to the mid 80's you should have researched the findings of Dr. Spengler and Stantz. I think they determined that the great sponge migration might have had an effect.

I just wish he was more fun to root for. As far as runners go he says next to nothing about his training, has been linked to the greyest of areas in our sport, and doesn't seem that personable. His times are amazing and it's fun to have an American up front, but he doesn't make it easy when he runs 59 and the boards are split about if it was a good run or not.[/quote]
What if he's just a nice, quiet guy? Just because somebody is a good runner does that mean they have to be show biz? Do they have to be the person some people on a message board seem to want them to be? Or are they allowed to have their own personality? Its not like they are media personalities, they are all just runners that happened to be thrust into the limelight because of their running. Some seem to relish and respond to that limelight, others not so much, but its ancillary to what got them there, after all.

It's a real authoritarian type move. It's not cool to edit the contents of people's posts and insert your own arguments. The brojos loves to complain about people in power and point out corruption, but they abuse even the tiniest bit of power they have on these forums. Fortunately, they aren't in charge of anything important
This is EXACTLY what I despise along with changing titles of threads to try and inject their opinion.
Isn't that what their whole "journalist" section of the site is for? They can write all the stories they want and inject their opinions but they should leave the posts on the message board alone and if they want to give their opinion, just make a post like the rest of us do or start their own thread. (and don't delete the other just because more people may be posting on it).

Probably less than that. Making money from advertisement is damn hard.

It’s difficult for me to like a runner who’s not a front runner, or at least heads the leading group some of the time. Rupp and Farah always sit behind people, the never lead. It’s like they come to a race without any planning their time. Their time is dependent on how the leaders would run. I can’t be a fan of such runners. There’s no inspiration in that.
How often did Geb lead championship races?
Many times Geb sat and kicked, but many times he also ran to break records, and he did about 27 times. Rupp NEVER runs for time. I feel weird that I’m comparing Geb with Ruppster.
I didn't inject my opinion on anything. Libel was taking place in a post and I was being accused of something and we factually stated the person was incorrect.
For the most part, we don't inject our opinion on people's post. The only thing we do do is change the title of threads to make them more descriptive and then we tell people what the original thread title was.
No, libel would be like openly stating as a fact that someone (multiple people in fact ) is/are intersex/hyperandrogenic without any documentary evidence to back it up. Introducing the term 'libel' in the case here is totally absurd and disproportionate.
Be nIce.

Two posts on the thread both leaping to the defence of Rojo. This second one is a real giveaway.
Give it up rojo.
Well it was basically entirely solo, so that's gotta count for something, right? So we have Rojo Kellog saying +11 seconds for "down hill course" and the wind seems to be cross wind, and he ran solo from mile 4 on. Can we say he's a sub 60 half marathoner or not?
(of course he is)
I genuinely was not expecting a sub 60 half during this marathon build up. Even if the course isn't the most difficult... Color me impressed.
I also understand why people suspect NOP cheats and don't accept these performances.
The only thing I don't understand are the people who believe he's not a cheat, but aren't totally wowed and impressed. Either get behind this guy, or completely dismiss him. This in-between half defamation cripe is annoying.

I asked about championship races.

So he didn't run for time when he beat Tanui and Karoki in 26:44? Wow, that makes it even more impressive. I wonder how much faster he would have run if he had run for time...

Don't forget the AR 2 mile and 5k races in 2014 indoor when he wasn't running for time either!

Or the 6th alltime 3:50 Indoor Mile and 7:30 indoor 3k AR where he was just chillin waitin to kick.

And people will still hate because Boston is downhill and point to point.
Rupp is our best marathoner in the US. I think he has a ton of room to improve in the marathon, think he will get the half AR, and continue to contend for majors and medals.

Alberto has always been vocal about his training philosophy and workouts. The information is out there. You just have to look for it. BTC is the most private professional group out there. He has not been linked to any PEDs, just amino acids. Just protein drinks.... Rupp doesn't need to be personal for you. Galen is Galen, why does it matter what he acts like? He's a runner...
