Must be nice to be allowed to blatantly cheat and screw people (women) over.
I don't understand why real women continue to lend credence to this cheater by lining up to race. If they ever took a stand and refused to start a DL or other major race these types of cheaters are in, I bet the promoters and the sport would get the message.
By racing Semenya you are saying someone competing with an unfair advantage is okay. That you approve of it. So you shouldn't complain when Semenya or somebody similar beats you, takes your medals, your prize money and your sponsorship dollars.
Please do something. The bureaucrats won't. We are losing women's sport.
If it has a "Y"
It's a guy
What would be the 800 equivalent of 2:35?
Around 2:00, I'd say. Rough rule of thumb is to add 2 sec/lap and 62 laps give 2:35. Runners who are stronger on 1500 than on 800 (like Muir, Dibaba etc.) would be slightly better, stronger 800m runners somewhat worse in comparison.
E.g Muir has 1:58,69 and 2:31,93 (indoor) PBs. A 1:55-56 athlete should do easily better than 2:35, even with not so great endurance.

the 1k record is 2;15 by Mbulaeni Mulaudzi
Of course, the big surprise is how slow that was.
GDibaba ran 2:31 low in her last 1k winning the 3k at Worlds. LMuir ran just under 2:32 in that same last 1k while finishing second (and LMuirs PR is 2:31.93).
Just for nostalgia's sake, I note that MCain ran 2:35:80 in 2013.
