dude, the fastest seeds times get the outer lanes. So it's no surprise they usually run faster.
So.......does USC, et al. break Poland's recent indoor 4x400 record?
Espn needs to drop these geezers and get people in there who don’t botch every event.

They cannot break the record because they are not all from the same country.
Dang, 4 sections? I'm going skiing.

Thats absurd to me. Sure it won't count as an american record, but it should count as a world record, if they were to break it.

Okay. Do they run faster than Poland? IAAF top list for indoor 4x400 still have teams with runners from different countries.
Florida's team we think is all American.
USC might have one non American on their team. So if they break WR they officially won't get it. A bit crazy if Florida got 2nd and got WR
The first 3 4x400 heats have been a bit slow. I wonder if this track is slow if you run in lanes 1 and 2 for the whole race, compared to other top indoor tracks like Arkansas's indoor track.
44.3 split from USC's second leg

Absolutely agree, it's a truly moronic stipulation. Why on earth should a school or club not be able to set a relay world record? Can anyone shed any light on what possible justification the IAAF could have for this?
3:00.77 [44.52] USC
3:01.39 [44.52] Texas A&M
3:01.43 [44.75] Florida
Last split for all three teams.

Insane, all are faster than Poland's WR!
I take back my statement about a slow track in lanes 1 and 2.

More absurd is that "foreigner" Rai Benjamin is a US citizen, and was born in the USA. His parents were born in Antigua. He went to high school in New York. And declined to compete for Antigua in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
"New rules should not affect Benjamin, however, since he’s U.S.-born."

Darn, I thought this started an hour from now.
I’m officially converting to a sprint fan over distance. This NCAA meet has convinced me distance races are boring.
How come they take 16 4x4 teams but only 12 DMR's? That seems unfair
How in the world can he be a US citizen and born in the US and not count as being a record? Their cannot possibly be a logical explanation for this.
