pleased to see Rochelle Kanuho up there. I haven't heard anything of her since last November when she was dropped from the Hoka Elite squad and I'm really pleased to see her stilll at it. very inspiring.
cheers.
Agreed. Haven’t seen her running at her best for a few years, so this was a great result for her. Top 5 at any US champs is a great race.

Bingo.
It is obvious from the LRC forum that Jordan is OFF Coach Alberto's special sauce.
Alberto is having thyROID and Androgel ROID rage at the results of this race.
Ouch.
Jordan PTG Hasay is DESTROYED by Ms. Molly Huddle (Irish) again.
https://www.facebook.com/hypo2/photos/a.181731141864880.32731.154386924599302/1050316895006296/?type=3I post on these forums to promulgate my moral views and my philosophy on running. What I've seen in my life are runners come up through college and into the pros and make all the mistakes and sins people elsewhere in society make. All rat race and fitting in and no soul. They grabbed thousands of Facebook friends, they ignore and excuse the wickedness of their peers because they would look like player haters otherwise. They wh0red around and trampled other people. They worship false authorities and bestow their hopes upon corporate chaperones and championship events. They don't question a screwed up college system, social culture or job market.
They don't question the technology and structure of social media. They conform to majoritarian group behavior and institutions, without considering the costs and consequences. Nobody is producing the magnificent art and culture which the holy name of running requires. They don't care about the holy name of running. Hypocrites. They laugh at and scorn the revelations of running and marriage, the revelations of job reform, school reform, religious reform, media and art reform, technological vigilance, etc. My fellow runners trampled me and watched injustice done to me and lent no hand and repented not once.
Some small criticism towards elites and maybe the errant immature comment that shouldn't be taken seriously, this is not a priority concern. It pales in comparison to my suffering and the sin, shortcoming and shortchanging of the future I've seen in my lifetime.
I come to the message boards because there are gems of truly intelligent and sometimes moral, insightful people. String them together and that is a worthy community. The LRC forum board at its best also approximates the ideals and hopes of the early internet. It of course attracts people who were late to the social media show and have no clue what the Facebook was like from the beginning or what early Internet forums were like.
I don't take credit for elite's fast times. But they do not deserve credit for anything more than fast times. Running is supposed to be a foundry of infinite potential and glory. That brings together utopian communities, betters people, opens their bodies and minds up to great sublimes and thoughts. It should represent chivalry and friendship. Runners should look out for each other and should guard themselves against the vanities of the world. It is a refuge against the broken and false ways prevalent in other sports and our society. Thus, they should write philosophical tracts, be critical of culture and injustice, make monuments and works of art, capture the fruits they have won through running and do everything that would uphold the glory of fast running. The community is like the church, the body of Christ. Not everyone is expected to be perfect or cover all works by themselves, but between all the members a certain standard and threshold must be met. It is not being met. I will not give elites and runners credit for what they are not doing, I will not give undue adulation and worship of them. I will adore the great runner who lives up to the high office of glory.
Yes, I don't alway know what's going on. For example, I've been moving into a house during the last week and not been on the website much at all as I hate using my phone for internet and didn't have it installed yet.
I did get a few texts from someone alerting to something about some tweet so I guess this is it.
I don't see what how Huddle is calling me out. She's supporting a teenager who was complaining about anonymous critics. That's not a 2016 problem or LRC creation. It's the very same thing that Roosevelt wrote about in "The Man in the Arena" on April 23, 1910.
It's a human nature problem. That being said, who cares if a few pros are occasionally upset. Seriously. Have you turned on ESPN this week? LeBron is irate that Charles Barkely called him out. Human beings like to think they are perfect and dont like to be criticized. I'd say this tendency is even stronger with public figures as they are used to people fawning over them and telling them they are perfecet their whole lives.
But the average human is upset at their jobs as well. Does your roommate or S/O ever come home and say someone disrespected them at work?
Sincerely,
the Let us run forum

According to the official results website, Huddle ran her last mile in 4:48, Hasay 4:54 and Blaase 4:59. That seems really fast but the race now on purpose features a huge downhill last mile. - they call it the "Downhill Mile Challenge." I think the bridge is 141 feet high so if they drop an entire 141 feet that would be worth slightly more than 25 seconds according to John Kellogg's formula of 1.8 seconds for every 10 feet of elevation drop.
Splits: 5k, 10k, 8.3 miles, 15k
Huddle: 15:51, 31:46 (15:56). 43:02 at 8.3 miles and 47:50 (16:04)
Hasay: 15:59, 10k not recorded, 43:47 at 8.3, 48:40.
Seidel: 15:59, 10k not recorded, 44:17 and 49:20
Korir: 14:41, 28:45, 38:52 at 8.3 miles, before winning in 43:06
Chelanga: 14:42, 28:45, 38:52, 43:15
Hehir: 14:42, 28:55, 39:00, 43:19
It totally makes sense that they all ran their worst mile the last mile, according to the +25s "adjustment". Yep, that is one solid calculation there....
In Jordan's defense, she ran almost a minute faster than she did last year. Molly's 47:50 would have smoked just about anyone, it's got to be close to the American record. I don't think anyone in the world broke 48 last year. I hate how this post assume's Jordan ran poorly rather than the fact that Molly ran great.

Not close to the record. That would be held by Ms. Flanagan, who ran 47-flat on this course a few years back. Boston is going to be very interesting....
Worth noting that Chelanga stopped to tie his shoe right at the first mile marker and lost 10-15 seconds doing so. I may be one of only 5 people that noticed since I was just off the lead pack and he stopped right in front of me.
Are you talking about the famous Johnny Kellogg???
Math Genius... and HEAD Coach of wejo and rojo:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsmrY3zPXSE
Do you remember this prediction from Mr. Kellogg???:
With all due respect to Ross Tucker and Steve Magness, who have given their thoughts on Eliud Kipchoge‘s sub-2 attempt this weekend, we started LetsRun.com to spread the gospel of our old running mentor John Kellogg. So I decided to reach out to Mr. Kellogg, LetsRun.com’s coaching/stats guru, for his thoughts on the sub-2 attempt.
“[And if he sticks to sub-2 pace past halfway], I think he might bonk and not break the world record. I mean how many big positive split world records do you see?” said Kellogg before noting that it does happen as Mary Keitany did it on the women’s side in London for the women’s-only world record. In London, Keitany ran her second half 3:07 slower than her first half.
John Kellogg showing off his basketball skills yesterday before making his prediction. (YouTube)
We then asked Mr. Kellogg for how long he thought Kipchoge could keep up 1:59:59 pace if he just keeps running that pace until he drops.
“I think if he sticks with the 1:59:59 pace for as long as he possibly can, I think he’ll make it BETWEEN 19.75 and 20.00 miles (That is a very precise prediction by Mr. Math Whiz = total joke) said Mr. Kellogg, who has a masters degree in mathematics, explaining that he came up with that estimate simply by comparing the pace Kipchoge is trying to run (4:34.57 mile pace) with the pace for half marathon world record (4:27.21) and marathon world record (4:41.36).
"There is a 14.15-second gap (per mile) between the marathon and half marathon world records and Kipchoge is trying to run at a pace that is 52.0% of that difference – and 52% between 13.1 miles and 26.2 miles is 19.91 miles.
“A marathon is not a 20-miler. A lot of people can run hard for 20 miles but you’ve got to pace it properly if you are going to run a good time for all 26.2.
"There could be a really BIG BONK if they force him to stick to that pace.” (Wrong again math whiz!!!)
PS. For the last few years, Mr. Kellogg, who guided LetsRun.com co-founder Weldon Johnson from 30:13 in college to 28:06 post-collegiately, has focused much of his efforts to becoming a cyclist, but he wants it to be known he’s come out of retirement and is coaching runners once again.
He has room to coach three more serious athletes.
If you are interested in being one of these three people, please email him at
.
He’d like to know your
Running history (injuries, mileage)
PRs
Goals
The price of the coaching plan for unlimited emails/phone calls and individualized training plan is $200 PER MONTH.
I think smoove deserves a shoutout in the thread title. Make it happen brojos. He’s already claimed the win over on the RRT thread and everybody knows who he is anyway.
DESTROYED
Of course Rojo created this thread trying to pretend like this is news hahahahaha. Huddle is clearly better at anything half marathon or shorter. Hasay is a marathoner, and ran almost 50 seconds faster than last year.....does anyone seriously think 2:28 girl Huddle is going to beat Hasay in Boston? Serious question.

Can you remember the last time Ms. Jordan Hasay beat Ms. Molly Huddle in a running race???
I can't remember when that race happened.
When did Jordan Hasay beat Molly Huddle in a running race???

Impressive for the USA 15k National Championships to have 4 Kenyans in the Top-5. I'm sure they got US citizenship because the love the red, white, and blue and not just to clean up on the road scene and reap the financial benefits.

Brilliant plan. Join the Army just so you can win a few thousand dollars in running races.

It turns out that LetsRun.com says that the main problem at USA road races is Black Kenyans beating White Ivy League Boys from Yale, Princeton, and Dartmouth.
That is not a big surprise.
You should go into detail for several hundred posts to give everyone your opinion about this topic.
You should start another thread about this topic.
Wait a second.
I checked.
You already have started another thread about your endless opinions on this topic.
That is a big surprise.

Indeed. I follow him on Strava and saw how well he ran. What the official results don't show (but Strava does) is that he ran the 8th mile (UP the Hart bridge) in 5:24. That's strong running.
I want to know if Jordan will post an Instagram pic of he watch showing the 20 mile progression run she did immediately post River Run :)
