And Keni Harrison finally doesn't blow it. Well done.

I'll echo Jeffy. Why are we assuming Muir is clean? In this sport, it's wiser to assume the opposite.
THANK YOU. Definitely a lot of bias here on letsrun. Wonder why.

Can Kendra get over the Mental hump?
or will be a nervous wreck at any sign of pressure?
Finally! She showed some mental strength. Got her first World Championship!

Muir = legit winner and clean WR holder
So running the last 1000 in 2:31 makes you a doper, but running 2:32 is legit?
Is that correct?
Nope getting caught with used EPO syringes in your hotel room at a camp you are attending + your coach getting caught with a swag of EPO ready to go at the same training camp pretty much does though...
Manning DQed in the 60H. Lingerie violation.

NOTHING to do with being black, everything to do with being caught with EPO at a training camp!!
Does EVERYTHING come down to 'because I is black'?? Get over it!!
Shelby got 4th in the women's 1500m. Good comeback. Surprised there are no DQs to put her on the medal stand.

4 golds tonight for team usa with coleman yet to race.
So after all these DQs, I don't think the likes of Emmanuel Korir, Omar McLeod, Ayanleh Souleiman etc are feeling bad for not making it to these championships! This got to be the weirdest championships ever.

Well it helps that she’s white and from the UK.
Ato Boldon made a great point. Coach Floreal had K Harrison run 7.7s in all 3rounds. Just go all out all the time. You can't pull a safety in the hurdles. It worked.
Now, Ato said Kendra didn't get a good start. I think that's a rare mistsake by him. She had the lead in my opinion. Her leg touched first after the first hurdle.

Didoper is a cheat. Muir is the clean winner.
I'm big Muir fan, but I'm having trouble seeing the logic here.
If we know Dibaba is a cheater because she runs faster than everyone else, how do we know Muir is clean when she runs faster than everyone but Dibaba?
I must be missing something.

Now we'll see Jill Montgomery come out of of the woodwork talking about how she was a former athlete, and is such good friends with Sandy Morris, and also that she won a national title which she never did, but still makes mention of it on her journalism website.
Windle gets Silver!!!!!!!!!

I guess the issue here is not that assuming Dibaba uses hot sauce is wrong, but that assuming Muir is innocent and clean is naive. There remain undetectable doping regimens, and an athlete would be remiss to not avail herself of these knowing fully well most if not all of her opponents do the same. It is the same reason most people with some knowledge of the sport strongly believe El G, Komen, Cacho, Morceli, Ngeny, Lagat, Bekele, and countless others surely doped. Let's apply standards equally and rationally.
Damian Warner is such a stud. His consistency is incredible and it always takes some truly monstrous performance to beat him. He's definitely going to win the CG next month.
