I went into the gym tonight and bench pressed 225 x 9 with no bounce off the chest. I'm about 160 +/-. What will my max bench be? Over or Under 280? (Currently doing 50-60 miles per week but will drop back when I max out my bench in about a month)

I dont believe that
I would guess 275 even.
315. You'll slap an extra 45 pound on each side, and look like a real man. Make sure you have a competent spotter.
I would guess 275
285

279.9
It is actually very hard to predict. I would guess anywhere between 260 and 320, based on your 'twitch profile.'
Probably 275. As for the person who called BS, shut up. Just because you can't do it doesn't mean others can't. When I was in college I weighed 160 and could bench 275 for 8 reps.
How much are you benching leading up to 225x9? I would say if you are putting in a lot of reps warming up and then benching 225 multiple times, different sets (such as 225 x 4 reps, 6 sets total) than you would be able to be over 280. If you just warmed up and than did 225x9 and were done (and your workouts are normally similar), then I would guess under 280.

I'm interested in seeing this. I go to the gold's a few times a week and I've never seen a 160 bench 225 x 9 let alone 280. In fact, I rarely see guys over 200 bench 225 x 1. Couple it with 60 mile weeks and that's pretty impressive. I have no doubt it can be done, I'd just like to see it. Maybe a video with a paper that reads "LR" next to the bench, so it's not just some random video.
I will keep LRC posted on what I end up benching. Before I max I'm going to take a week or two and acclimate for the heavier weight. 280 will be the goal. Tomorrow I'm going to try 225 again. I think I have a good 10 reps in me, but we shall see.
Impressive with the mileage.
I'd say 275.
Currently 180, barely run, bench 225x20+ but I doubt I could even get 315. Diff type of training.

Don't mess with trying to do one rep, it is a good way to get injured and does little to build strength. Stick with the reps.
Interesting. I just started to lift 6 days a week. I do chest 3 times in 2 weeks.
Run 60 miles a week. Not a real lifter but a real runner just under 2:20 PR.
I dumbbell bench 35s starting last year. Up to 2 sets of 55s x 6 in about 6 months.
Too afraid to get after it on the barbell and fatigue out. Don't want to look like a noob on the Smith machine either. I've done a bunch of reps of 135 just because I was happy to use the 45s. I think I could have done 145 or 155 but would want a spotter. Maybe by next year I can do 225 like you. Would look cool to have 4 45s on the bar.

Update: 225 x 9 again.
Let's face it;
You are not doing 225x9 at 160 lbs running 60 miles a week.
So just stop it.
Pretty impressive - still like to see video of this.

Why not? Burden of proof is on the accuser.
60 miles + 9X225 on bench at 160# is easily doable. I could do that and beyond from my senior year of high school until 8 years after college. Junior to Senior year of college I could knock out 8 reps at 275, and close to 20 at 225. It wasn't until I got married with children that the running slowed down and the weight went up. Can still knock out 10 reps with 245 on bench at 42 years old, though. When you are young, have no real responsibilities and lots of time, things like that are easy if you put energy into them.
