I really don't see anything wrong with that and he has the right to refuse.
It's obvious that these kids are being coached by the Dems....
Dems are desperate to win back power...
Something smells fishy
1) it was live event, so that mean that he could have asked anything he wanted even if they had "scripted questions"
2) or he could have announced on the air that CNN gave him a question.
2) Most people would have take an picture of the "script" because clearly they weren't reading from a teleprompter.
3) He really has no proof.
I'm not saying he's lying, but I'm thinking his story doesn't add up
A television show using a script? I've never heard of such a thing!
Oh, noes! CNN gave him questions! That means those kids and teachers *weren't* shot to death!
That means the survivors *weren't* really sad and angry about the deaths of their schoolmates!
That means there *shouldn't* be any restrictions of any kinds on gun purchase, ownership, and use!

Mark - why are you such a backwards as*hole?
Of course CNN or any other news outlet wants to coach someone how to act on TV. Have you ever talked to an emotional 17 year old? They have no idea what to say or do with a mic in their face. They'll ramble on and make wild contradictory statements. You're really going to beat up on a poor teenager who is getting some help on how to act on TV?

Wait--aren't all assholes backwards?

Agreed, something here clearly doesn't add up.
My money is he refused to read scripted questions because he can’t read.
Seriously tho.... most town halls and anything like it are scripted. This is so politicians know the questions in advance and can prepare answers.
I hear you.
It's good to have scripted questions/answers. Basically, if you're CNN, you don't want this:
Posted the Conservative Justice Warriors with no comprehension of how live news, is neither live nor news.
What's needed is another conspiracy theory.
I got to ask a question at a town hall for two senate candidates during the 2002 election cycle. The TV station hosting the event had everyone submit questions in advance. Then, they picked who they wanted to ask questions. Before we went on TV, the news director went over our questions with us to make sure we would be confident and clear when we went on the air. You cannot just have an open mic for these things. It turns into a train wreck with long speeches and rambling questions. The people who always get first in line for an open mic session are the ones who think that fluoride is a mind control agent.

Most certainly. #45 would never do such a thing, would he? . . . Oh, wait!!!

You see nothing wrong with orgs that present themselves as news orgs and journalists putting words into the mouths of those they interview?

There is a delay to ensure that nothing goes out live on tv that the owners don't want. Therefore he could have done either of the first two suggestions but there is no way he would have made it into tv or the tape.
The 2nd number 2 listed above it's nuts...does not take too much to memorize a short question at all.
What proof could he have? I guess if he was secretly taping the encounter but what are the odds kid would do that?
