So I am a senior in hs and just finished my Indoor season, and I feel frustrated. Basically I always get into the 1600 and 3200 races at my state championship, and go in with high hopes only to shy away from a hot pace and leave frustrated. For example, in my last 32 at the state championship I let the pack go immediately, feeling like it was the smart move, only to have them continue to pull away and have me close in 63 feeling angry at myself. Basically, how can I improve my tactics and race stronger/more courageously? It seems like a lot of guys run way faster then their expectations, and I do the opposite. I really want to fix this for my last season in hs.
