Would anyone know of a good middle distance/distance spike that accepts an orthodic??? I've got an athlete that needs to wear the orthodic, and can't race without them. Many thanks.

When I was a high school coach in N.J. we used a great podiatrist who's work in my opinion was superb. Every runner that went to him was able to resume running and racing once he outfitted them. He didn't put everyone into expensive orthotics either. His contention was that it wasn't the minutes of a race which caused problems but the many miles run in practice that had to be remedied. As a result not wearing orthotics during racing didn't bring about problems.
I have seen light weight training shoes which could accommodate orthotics. I would suggest using those. In distance racing the lack of spikes wouldn't be much of a problem on a dry track.
I don't know the answer to your question. Sorry.
But I do know that the word is "orthotics."
