I recently ran a sub 3 marathon in WA and my boss's boss is an avid runner and has a 3:10 to his name when he was my age (mid 20s). We spoke and he congratulated me on the time but said "it was a career limiting move" jokingly as he is known to be competitive. Word is he wants to run with me in the future. I liken this to going golfing with a boss so am inclined to accept (like the subordinate I am) and then proceed to let him set the pace and dictate the run from there.
Does this sound like the right plan? Any other advice? He is still in good shape and runs ~40 min 10ks so by no means is slow, I just don't know the etiquette with this situation.
