Question more for the older guys and any actual coaches out there....
I'm an old runner, been at it for quite some time... I noticed that I am getting that old man runner shuffle. I'm just not as spry as I used to be, knees ache, hips aren't as flexible, and I'm certainly fatter than I used to be.
My question is, do drills really help or is it just a matter of consciously thinking about my form when running?
I watch the young fast guys, and they have these smooth strides with this great back kick, heels comping up to their butts, and there I am doing something that is, well decidedly NOT that. Can I change it or am I doomed due to age?
