But why leave out the part that she called Spirit twice to confirm that she could take the animal on the flight and they told her that she could? Then, when she arrived at the airport they denied her access with the animal. She tried to rent a car to drive but the rentals were sold out. She switched flights to try to find an alternative and came up empty.
Not saying she made a great decision but Spirit is not without blame in this.
Spirit Airlines f-ed up? Shocking!
Someone made a mistake. Guess what? Mistakes, accidents, unforeseen incidents happen all the time. That’s life. How a person chooses to deal with difficult moments is their own responsibility and defines who they are. Blaming others for your actions is just bs.
I once rented a car months in advance. Flew to destination. They had no car for me. Could I then go out and steal a car and blame the car rental company? Was their error license for me to kill a hamster or do whatever I wanted if that got me a rental car? Try and think.
She’s a 21 year old college student. She had 8 hours to find something to do with her pet. Hell, she had as long as she wanted. The solution to flush her beloved emotional supportive animal down the toilet is not a choice any normal person would make. This is on her.
