Pair of 2" Nike's when I was running XC in college... 15 years probably. Still getting lots of miles of smiles out of them.
22 years old, 2 inch Adidas half split shorts.
What's really funny to me is that NBA players wear shorts longer than NFL uniform pants.

I forgot to say when I started this thread the my oldest are about 15 years. As far as the NBA , yes they are big and baggy but in the 70's they were bun/bum huggers.
Omg yes, the long af NBA shorts are so goofy. I felt so much stigma about running in shorter shorts for so long mostly because of the shift in NBA shorts for whatever reason. However, looking at it now, some of those players look so goofy with their skinny, super long legs. Kevin Durant, especially, looks ridiculous for some reason to me.
Nike split shorts (1 or 2 inch?), 8 years old and still in perfect condition. Obviously great for hot weather...
I have some that are probably around 8 years old, however, the lining is starting to lose the elastic and therefore they chafe bad. Once the elastic goes, they are done because they chafe.
I had the same thing happen with a pair of Asics 5 inch shorts which I had for 7-8 years as well, but I wore them a lot more than the Nikes. I have a pair of Underarmour 5 inch shorts that are holding up great after 6 years!
