Background: I was overweight for the first 22 years of my life before I finally got control of my eating habits. When I was in middle school/high school, I threw shot/disc and didn't run. I was an obese kid. I weighed 325 at my heaviest and started running in mid 2011 when I was 300 lbs to lose weight. I ran my first 5K in 33 minutes late 2011. Shortly after, I fell in love with running and became serious about living a healthier lifestyle. I have lost almost 130 lbs.
Current PRs:
Mile - 5:47
5K- 19:55
4 mile - 26:07
5 mile - 34:05
10K - 41:59
10 mile - 1:09:53 (split during HM)
Half - 1:31:23 (most recent PR on 1/8/18)
Full - 3:46:02 (LOL don't ask- I know I can run so much faster)
Currently, I am training to break 1:30 in the half marathon in a few weeks at Mesa-PHX. Training has been going really well and I feel like I'm right on the edge of dipping into the 1:29s. I never thought I would get here. I recently did a tune up half on 1/8/18 and finished in 1:31:23, which was just over 3 minutes off my previous personal best (1:34:27). Here's my training for the past week.
