RRR&Smoove. Thanks. A 1:30 half is somewhat unrealistic and to be honest anything under 1:45 would be good. I put a lot of thought into the 1:30 however. Here is some of the reasoning. First I can probably hit 2 flat right now in a race. Today's I ran based on a low HR. So I really only need to drop 30 minutes. Dropping 20-30 more pounds is a goal which should drop my time another 8-12 minutes. So then it is only 18-22 minutes to make up in 12 weeks. 18-22 minutes seems much more manageable for someone as out of shape as I am. I'm counting on getting the rest by changing my aerobic ability. For this one I'm only going to do true anaerobic work maybe 1 or 2 times.
