That should read, GOAT in all sports?
Hum.. Roger is God.
God is the GOAT so yeah one could say he is the GOAT.
Jack Nicklaus!
Serena > Roger

He's in a niche sport which requires having loads of cash and which hardly anyone in the world is able to play. An NCAA distance running champ has achieved far higher level of sporting ability than Federer has ever attained.

Love him or hate him, you can’t really have that list without Brady anymore. Pats have been mega legit for nearly two decades thanks to that dude.

“Real sports”- global sports, not American football.

Just when you thought you'd already read the most ignorant post at LRC, someone comes and writed this.

I think OP meant sports that people in more than one country have an interest in. That and sports where you don't need to stop every 4 seconds for a break.

Lol. Of course he's the GOAT, across all sports.
How can he be the GOAT in all sports if he's not even the GOAT in his? Look at his head-to-head against Nadal in Grand Slams. He's not better than one of his contemporaries.

Rafa is a clay specialist. Roger wins on everything else. No doubt Federer is the GOAT in men's tennis. In all of sports though? Who knows... no way to truly compare.

So what, clay doesn't count or something?
In meetings at grand slams, Nadal leads 4–0 at the French Open, while Federer leads 2–1 at Wimbledon and they remain tied 1–1 at the Australian Open. It's not exactly like Federer is dominant against Nadal on the other surfaces either.
Only number that truly matters is total Grand Slam wins:
Federer 20
Nadal 16
By your logic, Eli>Brady, since head to head in the Superbowl he's 2-0
oh and without clay, Rafa has only 6 Grand Slams. CLAY SPECIALIST. Roger has 19; struggles on clay but snagged the all important 1.
Federer is real good but yes, he does have losing percentage vs Nadal.
If you look at the GOATs across the global sports, I'm not sure anyone compares to Alexander Karelin.
He was a freak human being and his only loss (0-1 in the Olympic final vs Rulon Gardner) was the most controversial in the sports history and complete BS. In addition, the scared Gardner slathered himself so heavily with a lubricant that Karelin couldn't get a grip....what a puzzy

Give me a few sets. You'll be breathing through your anus most of the time. Other than when you are double faulting.
Longevity, consistency, winning, classy, role model, easy to root for
That’s Rog, guy was said to be done 7 years ago and he’s won 3/4 grand slams he’s played in now
Also has to be in the discussion for fittest/healthiest people ever especially in his sport, I saw a stat the other day too he’s played like 1300 matches and never retired once

I hate football as much as the next guy, so this doesn’t offend me. I do sometimes forget that 1/100 people who post here are not American. I will keep that in mind in the future.
