What's his height, weight, bmi?I've seen a couple of his vids. Alao, what's his running background? I know he's vegan...
Abrasive
I think it's true, I just know it. He has big limbs and a big cardio.
The dude can maintain speed after a workout with Chris Froome.
I'm unsure if this is the video but he is fast, mate.
He said ten miles a week for five years. OK ill bite. How much and how many weeks was he running in the lead up to his 2:48?
The only way to tell if Harley is lying is if his mouth is moving.
When this guy tells the truth it's always Christmas and always by mistake.

Hi Harley! Off disability benefits now?
He embelished the truth, it was more like 12 mpw for a year.
He trains in racing flats, or minimal shoes, then does marathons in way fatter shoes. Good idea, because cycling can get you WAY fitter than running, but then you can't really run because running beats you up way too much. Think about it.

Um, what?
In another youtube comments section people were saying it was too bad he was DQ in the 2:48 marathon for taking drink from his girlfriend on a bike while on the course?? Strange................
but looks legit
Durianrider: Strenuously avoiding real competition effort since going off disability.
People like this dickhead are insufferable. First he lowballs his overall level of real training to make himself look like a Man With Potential. Then of course he has to mention the vegan bullshit, because 93.8% of vegan runners are losers who have to mention this at every opportunity and promote it (falsely) as a significant reason for their success.
A 2:48 thon is no big deal, regardless of training. If it had been a 'thon, I would be more impressed. Likewise, a marathon would take even longer, and if it was a full marathon, he would still be out there.

A thon is only 1/2 of a marathon.
looks like someones in desperate need of youtube hits again.
get a job.
Durianrider has put out so many purposefully incendiary videos that it is impossible to not be offended by at least SOMETHING he's said. That said, if you can put your own feelings aside, he has loads of great advice on his channel. The high-carb, low-fat vegan lifestyle isn't for everyone, but DR is living proof that those who do it right can reap massive cardiovascular benefits. The 2:48 was legit, but the minimal running was compounded with hundreds of kilometers of cycling in a tropical climate
LOL
2.48 in an actual race is garbage! I had the urge to run 26 miles (not the full marathon obviously) last december, after having a few pints of Guinness. Set off at about 8.30pm, so it was all ran in the dark with a headtorch, and my brother driving behind me when safe. Was about 1 degree when I set off but as it got later on in the night it definitely started to freeze as the roads became slippier. Ran 13 miles out/13 miles back, mapping the route on walk4life.info before heading out. Ran the booze off in the first 7 miles, then sobered up and felt great up to 17 miles. 17-26 miles were a grind but because I was on my way back home it was mentally easier.
Ran 2.44.36
No real training apart from a few runs a week (20-25 miles possibly), and 8 to 14 hour days working on a farm. Durianrider is a proper dickhead.
