How do we know he's pacing? Just because he keeps looking back? Super inexperienced to be a pacer.
The announcer just said "pacemaker" so he is obviously still there. There is no work for pacemaker in arabic.

Kibitok still look so good, no distress.
Kibitok running close to WR pace, looking back every 50m. He's going to hurt his neck.

There is no WORD* for pacemaker in arabic.
If he's coming off 61:50 2 weeks ago he's fit enough to give this field a run for their money the rest of the way. I think he should stop looking back and risk his pace check to take a shot at the win. Tough to see him losing at this point.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
I'm guessing because they're now only showing the lead pack that Kibitok dropped out of the race?
Also I just saw a Buffalo Wild Wings sign on the side of the road. Looked really weird with Arabic font.

This leaderboard site is great.
http://dubai.mikatiming.de/2018/?pid=leaderShows projected finish based on average splits. No longer do I have to put it into a spreadsheet.
Still on 2:03:05 pace
Sorry for the jinx. Probably right as I posted this the tracking stopped working.
Lemma is going for it.

That's my thought too.
is Tola going back?

I really wish they wouldn't waste time showing the third place finisher in the wheelchair race and then stick on him once he crosses the line.
I was hoping the Arab world was only going to copy part of the West - not all of it. Did they even used to have wheelchairs at all in Dubai? I don't think so.
I could have totally misread but it looked like they passed a 32k sign at 1:34:08 (2:04 pace). If that's the case the WR attempt is done.

Somehow I'm hoping he's up and ahead and is going to smash world record on his own, but I assume that's correct.

By this I mean the chase pack, not the leader
Prediction: 2:04:30
Don't think the CR will fall today.
Tola's got it. He looks easy.

Man, you guys are lucky... dubaisports freezes constantly for me :(
Most I’ve got it to play for is about 2 min, on my phone, laptop freezes every 10-20 sec. obviously the other stream freezes/rewinds for me even more.
Works for me. Best part is the announcers are better too despite not understanding a word they say.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
