Let me start by saying I am a single Dad, with 50/50 physical custody. Basically, it's 1/2 the week with me, half with my ex. So we are in a 3 story building, I am on the 3 Rd floor. My daughter's make very little noise, in fact the people down the way, dance to music all night as well as the people next to me. There is all kinds of noise's. October last year, an old man knocked on my door and said he could hear their footsteps below him, I apologized , and really made a sold effort to keep it down. Recently he has been beating on his ceiling, in an attempt to let us know he hears footsteps. It has become a little obsessive. Today he confronted me, and yelled at me. He basically admitted that they were just being kids, but he suggested I move. He said I was on thin ice, as a way to scare me. When I told him, that other people were making 5 xs the amount of noise down the way, he said they don't live above him. I then told him this was normal noise at normal hours, and in fact he was making more noise beating on the ceiling. He basically backed down. Basically saying, kids don't live in this community. How do you deal with people like this?
