Fast times and a lot of smiles
I don't know, I wore them for my last marathon and they really hurt my feet. I don't see what all the hype is about.
The jury is still out for me. I wore victory 3 in the first 2 1 Mile indoors and the first 3K then got a pair of Matumbo 3 for my second 3K.
5.9 second improve in the Matumbos but I believe that to be due to the first 3K as a rust buster and 2 the first 3k was right after 2 60 mile weeks. Had only been doing 45 average before that.
Here is what I will say. I felt the actual spikes in the bottom of my foot in the Matumbos. My left foot arch seem to be collapsing more in the turns. If that is due to the Matumbos or just going a little quicker on non banked turns I’m not positive. I also didn’t do any workouts in them just the race.
I may fit better in the victories due to the spike plate being rigid compared to the Matumbos. I will experiment over the next 5-6 weeks before nationals. I never felt that spikes in the victories. I will use the Matumbos for 5/10k on track outdoor.
I guess if I can get used to the feel spikes in my foot they may be good.
