I saw this posted on the Ultra Running Community Facebook page about one Emma Timmis announcing her attempt to break the women's run across Britain (LEJOG) later this year (date unspecified):
I created this thread to consult the wisdom of LRC about whether we can consider this record attempt to be legitimate. I did some brief research on the background of Timmis and it threw up a few red flags for me that may or may not turn out to be important. This includes:
[1] Emma Timmis is British.
[2] Yes, there is a charity.
[3] Yes, it is for the kids.
Joking aside, the main red flag for me is that Emma Timmis has no ultra running race history as far as I can see. I could not find anything for her searching:

So what do you think LRC? Legit or is this something we need to keep on our radar?
