Hi all, i'm wondering what your thoughts are on whether or not my new proposed plan will help me achieve better aerobic fitness than what I have been doing.
What I have been doing:
-Daily 2hr runs at a pretty slow (just slightly faster than jogging pace) ~65% MHR
What I will be doing
-60 min high end aerobic (somewhere around 85% MHR)
-90 min medium effort (somewhere around 75% MHR)
-120 min low effort (somewhere around 65% MHR)
(repeat the 3 days)
-120-150 min long run low effort
I will probably net fewer miles doing the latter schedule but with the increased intensity, I hope my physiology will adapt at a faster rate. Is this a fair assumption to make?
