Top distance track club in the USA last year? Bowerman TC barely

    Just got the annual track and field news annual edition and thought it might be fun to figure top clubs in the USA. Took the top 10 times in each event from 800 to marathon and scored them in reverse points ( first worth 10, tenth worth 1). Bowerman TC came out on top for both men and women, barely beating the USArmy for men and New Balance for women.

    Men 1. Bowerman TC 66, 2. USArmy 62, 3. Nike 54, 4. Nike OP 46, 5. Hoka 43, 6. OTC 33, 7. Saucony 24, 8. Brooks 20, 9. ASICS 15, 10. Adidas 9

    Women 1. Bowerman TC 103, 2. New Balance 96, 3. Nike OP 44, 4. Saucony 40, 5. Nike 38, 6. Adidas 28, 7. Oiselle 16 8 ASICS 15, 9. Brooks 14, 10.Hanson’s 11.

    Now let's add them up by shoe company :) So who is it again that pumps the most money into the sport of track and field again?

    These rankings are kinda ehh

    Every shoe company is split up even though they have different subgroups that don't train together EXCEPT for Nike. Either way, if you count BTC, NOP, and all Nike sponsored groups together under Nike or separate every clubs, the Nike groups would still come out on top, but at least the rankings make more sense.

    Partially just because BTC, NOP are so big and even the clubs that have just as many people don't breed world class talent. I mean, if you separate into individual training groups, especially next year, the BTC woman would probably double the next best training group.

    I find it interesting how some shoes/clubs are pretty much focused on one sex . Particularly New Balance with woman and Hoka with men . Also shows impact of USArmy program ,

    Have to wonder how much the vaporfly 4% helped the nike athletes. When the other shoe companies come out with their models i think there will be a change at the top. Also have to think its not if but when USArmy takes over the top spot for men.
