Alright so just got back from a 20K and I hit 1:29:44. I also did a 5K on Jan. 1 in 19:56. It was a flat and fast course but had a massive headwind for the last 10K. Right now I’m running 55-60 mpw without any real long runs (usually max out at 15 miles in a day) and no real workouts.
I’m running Grandma’s Marathon in June which is net downhill and a pretty fast course from what I’ve seen/done in the half there.
When I start marathon training I’m planning to hit 65-75 mpw with long runs (max at 24 miles) and do some longer speed workouts.
So how fast can I go for a marathon? I know it’s early but I really want to BQ (3:35). Is that feasible at this point?
