It has awesome academics. Especially in engineering, business, and social science.
What about Cal twinks? Heard they’re fast and yummy.
Steph Jenks has been one of top girls in the country since 7th grade. She arrived there and then disappeared.

Not that I'm trying to defend Cal XC at all, but do you have any idea how often girls who are really good as middle schoolers are done with running by the time they get to college? It's more the rule than the exception. Steph didn't do a ton of improving every year in HS, mainly because there was not much room for improvement.
Girls team qualified and got two guy individuals to nationals. Don’t put much money into distance from what I hear. Pretty damn impressive. Given the region.
Knights-best season of her college career, top 10 every race cept for nattys. Oakley-Pac 12 frosh of year. Both ladies—all-American.
Cal was unranked pre-season and finished 22nd with two stud low sticks carrying that program. Very nearly beat Washington at conference for fourth. Knocked off their share of ranked teams along the way.
Not too shabby.
