I'm a master runner with more speed than strength. How to get aerobic strength for 800m/1500m?
Thanks in advance.

While wejo continued to suck after college, a certain Mo started to run his easy runs faster and guess what happened?

Tempos!
In addition to just running more (which is very effective), here are some other ideas:
- 90 min run, any speed, once every 10-14 days
- 20-30 min strong 'tempo' runs - don't time them and just aim to be 'pleasantly tired' by the end. Do this at least once per week.
- Once a week or once a fortnight, do 4 or 5 x 1000m repeats at your estimated 8k pace (see following for details), with 2min rest. Use your current (estimated if you have to) mile/800 time and plug that into a calculator to derive the 8k pace (i.e. you want to use the 8k 'equivalent' pace, not your actual 8k pace, which would be slower).

Thanks for the detailed info. I will change one of my 60 minutes easy runs into a 90 minute run and do the suggested workouts.
