I don’t believe this can be done. What’s the current points breakdown? I’d like to see some video evidence of a couple pints being chugged

Our fateful hero carries on, pacing well. Currently on his second run of the day and about 4 pints in for the day.

You’re way off schedule on the drinking. Over half the day is gone and you are only at 4? Drinking needs to be consistent to be sustained. Once you start having to pound pints in a short time window to catch up you will get too drunk which leads to failure. I see a lot of trouble already and it’s just day two.
idk, if he's got until midnight or something, that's still 11 hours for 16 or so pints; just over one an hour isn't too bad
The 'day' ends when you go to bed, so 1am or so. Fractions of pints / miles don't carry over to the next 'day' so you have to achieve a round number of both for max efficiency.
The 6.5 day period began midday Sunday and will end at midnight on Saturday.
If you're sick, more pints that day do not count.
Tom maintains that he has never had a hangover and doesn't plan on starting any time soon.
Theres a legend of a man called Declan. He set the CUHH training camp pints record. injured himself on day 2, only managed c.15miles in the 7 days. Such was his commitment to the 100pts challenge that he dedicated his final 5days to his left arm and drinking pints
c.75 pints in 5 days was a long slog challenge, 115/7 will be heroic
What sort of arrogant idiot assumes he can drink 115 pints in a week, while getting dehydrated from runs, and not feel even little hungover. This man clearly knows nothing about drinking or running and is simply glory hunting. He won't make it past day three.
Thoroughly enjoy these threads, best of luck and godspeed sir.
But on a more sobering note, he won't last more than a few days of this. Now ay he gets through the whole week. Not trained for that kilometerage.
My thoughts are this lad is no Laurie Lauscombe.
He’s no Dan Ansell.
Had you put Will Mackay forward for his challenge you may have had a fighting chance.
I just don’t see it from the youngster but i’ll
Enjoy receiving the updates.
For the Americans not in the know the 100 pints and 100 miles in 100 hours is a challenge that has been done twice here... so it’s more than realistic to be looking at doing 115 in a week.
au contraire. Although slightly off pace, the beers are going fast and the miles are in the barn. Onwards to tomorrow, hopefully the barn doesn't burn too fast

Are you drinking a 9% beer? That's just insane. Your over-confidence will be your undoing.
? Good on this guy!
Succeed or fail, at least this is a REAL challenge being taken here - unlike that last dude who decided he'd be drinking mini beers from the off...
Appreciating a bit of positive chat in this thread of naysayers, cheers.
Going to call it a day at 19 miles, 23.5 440ml cans [10 carling cider, 4 kronenberg, 1 (500ml!) 9% joke my coach gave me, 8.5 magners cider]: that's 19 miles and 18+ pints.
Day 2 total: 37 pints+miles
Day 2 running total: 65 pints+miles
Hitting a big session tomorrow AM, looking forward to the speedwork I've been craving.
Update: finished the .5 of a magners because why not.
To the people saying they'd fail after a day or two because of hangovers / being rubbish... that's the point. If it was easy to get 230 pints+miles I'd be aiming for 300.
A very long time ago when I was but 21 or 22 I drank a case of Rolling Rock over the span of 24 consecutive hours. Drank myself sober and even had some time to sleep, get high, & get laid.
There was no running during this endeavour.
I was also drinking Rolling Rock.
I couldn't imagine drinking Rolling Rock now, or doing anything else other than running.
Even though I suck at running.
I have no idea where I was going with.
Rolling Rock is 4.6%...
so this guy is drinking cider? that's not beer, not impressive at all
He did say (a) they ran out of beer and (b) they had a 4% minimum threshold for any booze, meaning each pint is equal in UK 'units' to a shot of vodka.
Cider or not, 18 shots and 19 miles in a day isn't bad for the kid considering he did basically the same yesterday and plans to do the same for the next week
You have here shown a gross misunderstanding of the British units system. The calculation is (% ABV) x (litres of alcohol). In this case one pint of 4% ABV = 4 x 0.568 = 2.272 units/pint.
This is far higher than one shot which is approximately 0.9-1 unit only.
Should be a lovely afternoon for knocking back pints over there. Drink on, and get in a few miles as well!
