She's all ready killin it in her first race. What is happening? Hopefully she stays healthy and can beat some Ethiopians in the future.

Efraimson ran 9:00 and Cain ran 9:02, so Tuohy is #3.
She likely will be going mid-15:40's in two weeks.

Efraimson ran hers on an oversized track, so doesn't count for record purposes, but is intrinsically better.

#2 All Time indoor.
#4 All Time absolute.
She is set Up for the cain path. What a day
It looks like Tuohy had to run in lane two about half the race, so intrinsically may be better than some of the times ahead of her (did Cain run her 9:04 with the pros, as Efraimson did?)

Sure, based on what the out-of-touch record keepers say. It is #2 behind Cain’s en route 9:04 from her 9:38. However, for those of us who actually understand the sport, it is clear that this is the #3 performance ever indoors. Washington’s track is no faster than the Reggie Lewis Center track. Stats and common sense make this obvious.

Yes, I believe Cain took third in the race when she ran that time. It was a 9:38 2 mile and the 9:04 was her official split.
To clarify my last post - Cain ran that 9:38 on the Reggie Lewis center track which is banked and has an extremely fast surface. As fast as you can get. In my opinion, it is silly to seem Reggie Lewis record-eligible and not oversized tracks. I do understand the distinction, I just disagree.
Not sure what track Tuohy ran on.
What!? Washington's track is much faster than Reggie Lewis! You are crazy. I ran my only sub-14:00 for 5000m at UW and haven't been able to crack that in Boston.

Hmmm... based on pro performances, the tracks seem very comparable. I will admit that I have never personally run on either though so I do take your word for it (honestly).

What exactly is missing from your mental make up that's making it so difficult for you to understand this?

You’re right, deadstream. Washington’s indoor facility is actually not indoors.

In all seriousness, I think you are trying to say that her performance is #2 on the indoor official record list. You are correct. Good job. That doesn’t change the fact that she is the third fastest HS performer ever indoors.
She did it without pros

Right, and in January. I think she could break 9 next month in a pro field if she so chose. I am not dissing her.
pretty, pretty good.
looks like she went through 1600 in 4:45?
She compares well to some former and current NCAA champs.
Here are their 3K PRs (all run in College):
Allie Ostrander: 8:54.27
Molly Seidel: 8:57.13 (she won 3K NCAAs in 8:57.86)
Karissa Schweitzer: 9:06.60
Anna Rohrer: 9:11.14
Cain ran the last 218 meters in 34?
