and pro basketball
not one to follow that league but based on last weeks controversy it seems the officials are on the take. or have control of what team advances
reality TV is what it is
Do you have any idea how many people would need to be involved in the conspiracy for basketball and football to be rigged on a regular basis? ('rastlin' doesn't deny it is scripted.) If you do know how many people it would take to rig a major professional sport, you obviously don't know anything about human nature - someone always talks.
And also note that people don't gamble on 'rastlin'.
Have you ever seen the NBA? The refs control the games all the time! Here's a quick list, I'm sure I missed many many many more notorious games.
1988 finals - phantom foul on Laimbeer, Lakers stole the title
1994 ECF - phantom foul on Scottie Pippen, Bulls lose (can't let Bulls win without Michael Jordan)
1998 finals - Jordan's last shot, he blatantly pushed off of Russell. Should have been a foul but that would've tainted his legacy.
2002 WCF - This was the worst travesty in all of sports. Stern just didn't want the Kings to win. Kobe elbows Bibby in the face, no call. Lakers shot 27 free throws vs Kings 9. This was Tim Donaghy's signature rigged game.
2006 Finals - Dallas dominated the first 2 games against Miami until "free throw" Wade took over. He took 97 free throws in 6 games, more than anyone in NBA history. 25 free throws in game 5, more than the entire Dallas team.
2007 WCS - Horry hockey checks Steve Nash into the scorer's table, Stoudemire and Diaw get suspended for coming off the bench (but none of the Spurs including Tim Duncan were suspended). Suns lose
2010 finals - Celtics outplayed the Lakers for 3 quarters then the cheating began. Kobe went to the line 15 times vs entire Celtics team 17 times.
2012 first round - Miami Heat had 28 free throws vs Knicks 5. Lebron aka LeFlop made the game and officiating a joke.
