Do you know how men's 1500 prelims went? Did all the usual suspects make it to finals? Manzano, Vaughn, Pifer, etc.? Thanks.

oh hell yes!! it was amazing, i've never seen that boy run so fast, the last hundred, his arms were flailing, and he had this grimace/smile look on his face, everyone there went nuts.

Does anybody think that having 1500 meter prelims on Saturday and Finals on Sunday is rediculous? I do. Why not have the damn preliminaries on Friday, let the fellows heal for a day, then run the final on Sunday?

What's the logic?

I'm looking at their turnover and Schoolmeester is looking like a linebacker in the 4th quarter while Chesang looks like a fleet footed wide receiver just skating through the secondary. All you softball players just try to run around the bases 25 times without stopping. This virtually preposterous sprinting at the end of a man killing race.

Brett Schoolmeister is an elbowing SOB too, isn't it? You saw him take the inside at the bottom of the curve (300 to go), elbows flying... I wanted him to win until I saw that.

that's how they do it at most championships. the logic is simply following what everyone else does and preparing the runners for that. besides, i think i would much rather have my runners competing on two days, not three. many 1500 runners will have another event to do that second day anyway.
