Stages podcast is normally good. this one isnt.
most of it isnt really Froome related and they largely ignore the doctor they invited on.
there's about 10 minutes of relevant stuff mixed in there somewhere but nothing that's interesting or new.
Damn...Lance has really aged! He looks easily 8-10 years older than his mid-40s. Must be the long-term effects of all that dope he took. ?

The Brits are closing ranks again, defending doping because it was one of them.

Same hilarious stuff, including:
"Being dehydrated can increase the concentration of a drug in the system. And that could be the reason for Froome's test result, says Dr Tom Bassindale, an anti-doping scientist at Sheffield Hallam University."
I mean, really? The 22% in Paula's case were already ridiculous, but now they want to explain a 100% increase due to dehydration? On the other hand, why not, this will go to UCI which isn't exactly better than IAAF.

Looks bad, doesn't he? All that gray hair and a few extra pounds, it seems...
Transcript please? I'm too busy to watch a one hour video. We're not all millenials.

He's got a Blake Shelton thing going on now
It's called aging. He can't cycle off that chocolate cake anymore with a 6-hour ride. He looks good compared to some other retired cyclists.
I did not like Lance when he was lying, but he came clean. He's earned respect in my eyes. Redemption!
How many others who cheated in sports still deny their cheating? Even when they get caught conclusively.

No, Fu(k that guy. He still hasn't come completely clean and what he's done is a lot worse than just being a participant in cheating. He ran the programs, threatened people who didn't comply with him and destroyed lives. Not exactly just Canseco taking some juice and hitting more home runs
He doesn't hide who he is like a lot of other people. You know where you stand with him. To the other riders on his team who say he bullied them I don't think so. They did the same things he was doing and they did it for themselves. It all came down to hours on the bike, intelligent training, and an iron will to succeed. He was a winner while they didn't have the same level of talent in a sport that had a performance enhancing culture long before and long after he was a part of it. The playing field was level and he beat everybody.

Came clean are you flipping joking!
Others just failed a test he was conclusively proved to be juicing even then he lied that he'd then been clean on his come back

Well, he bullied that Irish female masseuse, Emma, and sued her knowing she was telling the truth about his cheating.
Then just when you start thinking maybe Armstrong isn’t such a bad person and has learned his lesson, you discover he’s still the same conniving, selfish person he always was. This became apparent after he had his girlfriend, Anna Hansen, take the blame for hitting two parked cars on December 28, 2014 in Aspen, even though he was the one behind the wheel, according to this Daily Mail story. Armstrong eventually admitted that he was the one driving after a valet at an event he attended prior told police that Armstrong was the driver. His girlfriend later said it was a joint decision between she and Armstrong for her to take responsibility for the crash so Armstrong could avoid media attention. The guy clearly doesn’t understand the concept of taking responsibility for your actions.

That's completely understandable. Everybody does that. Why feed the media vultures?

Ummm, you mean avoiding the media vultures by avoiding a DUI charge by lying to the police, effectively. Yeah, everybody does that.
Even if he did dope, I doubt he had such cool doping strategies that made his doping that much better than everyone else's. Therefore, clean or not, Lance is the best cyclist of the era, hands down.

I've said before that I don't really care that he was doping. 98% of the peloton were doped to the eyeballs during his era. Nor do I particularly care that he lied about it, nor was he contrite when the truth came out.
What I do care about is the fact that he tried to ruin lives when someone spoke out about his doping; Emma O'Reilly and Greg LeMond in particular.
