Now that the year is winding down and I've got some time on my hands, as someone who recruits, I wanted to see who went where and with so much flooding my timeline about national football signing day, I got curious. Rather than just guess who’s class was better than who’s, I wanted to go to the numbers for a bit of evidence. Based on a ranking system that mirrors the 5 star system of "mainstream" college sports, I put together distance class rankings 40 deep. The way it's calculated though, it may only serve its purpose through about 25-30 teams due to my use of limited subjects. It only took me a a few hours to complete so I could see myself doing this annually as a reference. The 800 meters is not taken into account for these rankings . At the top of the list, I think it's an accurate combination of depth across the board, highly ranked individuals carrying the weight, and successful poaching from overseas (that I know about). Before I post it, I need information on any college commitments/signings of these guys listed below, or any foreign athletes that are committed or signed to places. I'll post the rankings on January 1st.
Would you believe that Notre Dame has the 4th best class in the country?
