Dear cheat cheat cheat:
If you read the USADA finding they explicitly state that it was an "administrative issue versus outright cheating". Also the NCAA has different rules vs. USATF, otherwise all of his efforts in college would have been voided. It is for this reason his sentence was reduced. This "first" violation compounded and exacerbated his "second/first" violation. This case is also "strange". Either way, it is rather unfair and disingenuous to chant , "cheat, cheat, cheat" in light of these facts.
I am not impressed by USADA, which has a history of letting cheaters off the hook as soon as they have any lame story, such as kissing or eating or taking supplements.
Facts are, drug cheat Gatlin was banned twice for doping offenses (once for amphetamines and once for steroids), counter-sued both times and got the sentences reduced but not eliminated, and then chose another drug cheat as coach. Then he ran 9.74 at age 33.
These are facts that not even the fanbois and Nike PR shills argue against. Therefore it is neither unfair and disingenuous to chant , "cheat, cheat, cheat" in light of these facts.
That guy is laughing all the way to the bank.
