How do y'all feel about Oregon taking so many top athletes from other programs? How much time was wasted in the recruiting process for the original school's staff, only for these athletes to jump ship so they can be on a superstar squad? How many incoming recruits did these transfers lie to about how great their team is, only to be gone a few months later?
2017 Transfers
Amanda Gehrich: University of Utah's top runner
Carmela Baez: Florida State's top 5000m runner
Connor Clark: Dartmouth's top 5000m runner and recipient of the Paul S Harmon trophy for being most improved runner (thanks for the improvement Dartmouth, bye)
Kerissa D'Arpino: Oregon State's top 100m runner in 2016 outdoor and top 200/400m in 2017 indoor
Venessa D'Arpino: Oregon State's top 100/200/400 runner in 2017 outdoor
Judy Pendergast: Harvard's top distance runner for 2017 outdoor
Sabrina Southerland: Georgetown's #2 800 runner (2:03.74) and #3 1500 runner
That's just the one's I know of in 2017. Who else have they poached in the past few years? Are there any repercussions whatsoever?
